Events Are Back! June Recap!

Over the past year and a half, Cali Raw's events seemed to be a thing of the past. The COVID-19 pandemic has placed everyone's lives on hold. Our team here at Cali Raw Nutrition worked on finding new and safe ways to connect with our customers. We faced against the challenges of building relationships with new customers and everyone in our local community without meeting in-person.

This June, we were thrilled when California was able to reopen safely, and we were once again allowed to interact with our beloved customers and other local businesses at events, pop-ups, our lobby, and by getting out in the community!

June was a busy month for our team at Cali Raw. We hosted and booked  pop-up shops and also started Cali Raw Cares in 2021.

Cali Raw Cares is our new community-based initiative to give back to our amazing local community. Every other month, we will be participating and volunteering to show our local community how much they mean to us. We hope to see you out there!

Cali Raw X Trendi Pawz Pop Up Shop

Trendi Pawz is a five-star grooming salon located in the heart of Long Beach, CA. Trendi Paws offers pet grooming, socialization, and dog walking. The owner, Piai, welcomed our team with open arms and allowed us to use her grooming salon as the backdrop for our first Cali Raw Pop-Up shop since 2020. We were very excited to share our new sister store, Crafted Dog Treats, with the Long Beach community and Trendi Pawz.

Cali Raw team members, Molly and Lauren, handed out Crafted Dog Treat samples to all the dogs walking by and shared the education of the benefits of a raw diet and single healthy ingredient treats. They also took some fun photos of dogs enjoying their Saturday treat and built connections with many Trendi Pawz customers, as they dropped off and picked up their dogs.

This pop-up was a great first event after a long long year of missing our local community. We are very excited for many more pop-ups to come! So keep an eye out for our future events, and we might have one in your dog's go-to spot!

We want to thank Piai and her team at Trendi Pawz Grooming Salon in Long Beach for hosting us for our first 2021 pop-up! It was wonderful connecting with other local pet businesses who have the same mission as us. We know that grooming isn't always our dog's favorite day of the month but, if you live in the Long Beach area, we highly recommend taking your pup to Trendi Pawz salon! 

Cali Raw Cares X Huntington Dog Beach Clean Up

During COVID, we were so inspired by how different communities across the globe came together to help each other. From this, we saw our platform as an opportunity to help our very own community, which is why, this June, we launched Cali Raw Cares.

Cali Raw Cares is our new community-based initiative. Through Cali Raw Cares, we have vowed, every other month, to take part in community-based volunteer work. So for our first month, we decided to give back to a place that has provided so much joy for dog-lovers over the years and, of course, we are talking about Huntington Dog Beach!

For over twenty years, Huntington Dog Beach has provided a fun and safe, "off-leash optional" environment for both dog and owner. On any day of the week, you can join hundreds of dogs frolicking on the sand, in the water, and most times, surfing.

This mile and a half stretch of pure dog freedom have been going strong for over two decades! As frequent visitors of Huntington Dog Beach and residents of Orange County, we wanted to give back to the beach that offers our beloved dogs and customers so much fun. 

On the Sunday morning of June 27th, our team drove out to Huntington Dog Beach, put on our gloves, grabbed our trash bags, and were on our way.

If you have ever picked up trash at a beach, you know that it's not the most exciting event in the world. But add some dogs into the mix, and boy was it entertaining. We watched dogs chasing after beach gophers, dogs jumping over waves, and of course, a lot of butt-sniffing. 

Of course, going to a dog beach, we had to bring some treat samples for all of the pups we meet on the beach. During the beach clean-up, we were able to talk to so many local patrons and spread the word about Cali Raw and our new sister company, Crafted Dog Treats.

All of the pups loved our single-ingredient, human-grade treats, and we left them wanting more! Visit our social media pages to see where we may be handing out some delicious treat samples next! 

We had a blast under the Huntington Beach sun and wanted to thank Huntington Dog Beach for having us! We hope that our small act of picking up beach trash can help inspire others to do the same. Dog Beach has given thousands of dogs and owners so much joy over the past two decades that we must give back to the beach we all know and love.
